2016

As a trained user experience designer, I was excited to support the local chapter of Google Women Techmakers and hold a workshop as a co-facilitator and a guest speaker.
At that time, the initiative was still in its founding stage and tried to get a foot on the ground in the rapidly growing local landscape of tech communities. But the workshop could already attract more than 80 participants from different backgrounds. Today the group has a staggering membership of more than 3.500 members.
At the beginning of the workshop, I gave a brief introduction to user experience design. Afterwards, I helped put the theory into practice, guiding the participants to get their software solution ideas from rough scribbles to clickable prototypes usable on their phones and tablets.
